I wonder if is a good thing to try. I know that is good for concentration and body coordination. My boy likes some kind of violent games imagining he is bakugan, power rangers, playing not relly as it should. I am afraid that he could beat the colegues from the kinder garden . I heard though that he could lurn kata which is only a demonstration of movements and not a fight body to body.So does anybody have an advice for me , should I try ?1 pointmoniklaura wrote 419 Days Ago (neutral) 0I want to know what is your opinion about the necessity that the child works 40 hours per week in ABA therapy, as the Lovaas study said he must ? Do you respect this rule, do you care about it ? A parent was writting once , that 30 hours per week are not enough and we lie ourselves if we don't asure the 40 hours.
And do you count here only the therapy itself or we could add the time when the child is interracting with other children ,using what he lurnt in the therapy or maybe he is playng a game on the pc that contains useful information for him ...
I ask this because I fight all the time with that fealing that I didn't do all I could to help him. I am not sure I can afford myself and him to take a brake...0 pointsVickiSpach wrote 430 Days Ago (neutral) 0@Monica: (or anyone who can use this) Here is one visual timer...

I have a question that is relly "grinding" me .In the last 2 weeks my son have worried me a lot durring ABA therapy and I need to know if my therapist procedure is wrong or not.
The therapist is coming to my home and she is speaking clear and load so I hear what is she doing from other room. They were working 3 hours and in the last one my son suddenly refused to do what he was asked for.He started to cry and cry , and yell..a lot. The therapist was telling him all the time that if he refuses to colaborate he will recive a bigger and much bigger homework.THe answer : the yell was loader and much loader. He was crying and yelling so much that I couldn't stand it anymore and today I went in that room ( I never did it in 10 months). He stopped imediatly crying and writte trembling what he was asked for.
I know I shouldn't enter there and my act mybe will make him next time to cry even loader asking for atention but is my therapist right when she keeps threatening him :If you don't writte you will have 2 pages , 3,...4 ..as homework and as punishment " .It seems to me that she is increasing the crysis . How should she manage this, could somebody tell me ?
